Blue Mountains: Gear List

The fun part about a beach to mountain camping road trip is that not only does the terrain change, but so does the weather. Going from clear, sunny, warm Byron Bay to the foggy, cold, wet conditions of the mountains meant a totally different set up.

  • Camp stretcher to get swag off the ground and out of the mud
  • Beanie

Quick and simple set up. Easy to leave in the day. Little to no wind so gazebo was fine being left up. Fridge and battery stay in car. Saw my first echidna at this campsite.

Campsite turned to mud and everything go soaked. Too windy to set the gazebo up for shelter. Ended up putting some gear in the swag on the stretcher, which I left up under a rigged-up tarp to try and dry out. Discovered that these cars are not designed for 5’10 people to sleep in!
